|Topic||Report from Joint Meeting with Vocab||Report||Carol/Reuben|
The initial implement of canonical URIs (resolution 2 from the meeting with Vocab) is being demonstrated using NANDA at https://build.fhir.org/ig/HL7/UTG/branches/UP-64-correct-url-and-metadata-information-for-nanda/CodeSystem-nanda.html
Review resolutions....do we need to "publish" these as HTA?
Roel: would like the "HL7 Guidelines" for what really is a "canonical URL". Vocab does have draft guidance on that Proposed Vocabulary WG Policy on Creation of Canonical URLs for UTG Code Systems
UTG = HL7 in this context, but policy is primarily focused on HL7-created URLs.
Put a link in to Vocab from our policy pages rather than republish.
HTA also needs to find a time to meet more with Vocab....currently Vocab is 3.30-5pm (EST) alt Thursdays; would prefer to hold a joint during HTA time....so maybe every 3rd HTA call, HTA will invite Vocab as long as there are agenda items. Reuben/Carol to confirm with Vocab. Likely first in schedule will be the end of June meeting.

"Need a value set for NDC-11" - need "an artefact" that can be used to reference the NDC-11 in FHIR implementations. There has had a long standing Zulip thread; FDA creates the NDC code system but it is implemented by the pharma manufacturers and re-labellers
There are 3 different formats in 3 segments with dashes - NDC-9, NDC-10, NDC-11 etc. MPD suppliers (FDB, Multum) make their own normalised format (11 format). RxNorm also publishes the 11 digit format - but it may not be a full list.
In UTG: https://build.fhir.org/ig/HL7/UTG/CodeSystem-v3-ndc.html - this is the FDA registered NDC code system - which does not represent the NDC-11 codes as used by the MPD providers.
There is an OID for NDC treating it as a code system, but in many ways acts more like a GTIN
There can be multiple identifiers for a single concept. NDC-9, NDC-11 could/can be treated as separate code systems.
Frank: in use they are referred to differently (but is this any different from 2 letter and 3 letter country codes?)
Therefore - the implementation question for the value set moves to Vocab.

Checking with Sylvie and Susan that they have communicated with Wayne as CTO

|Topic||Co-chair handbook and FHIR Accelerator Information|
Response from the FHIR Accelerator was somewhat negative - FHIR Accelerators have too much to worry about already. Responded that we are hearing from Accelerators and also that our process will encourage direct contact; re-iterated the "one contact per Accelerator" as per SNOMED too. Awaiting further response
Nothing yet from PIC re: the Co-Chair handbook.
We need to get the disclaimer in the FHIR pages for UMLS - who is leading on this?
