MethodologyRTSS Update

Since the work began, the topic has become more important since the FHIR accelerators have come on board.

A next step is to run this past the methodology groups. Lorraine suggests starting with individuals before groups. Could talk to AMS before MnM as a whole, for example. Craig Newman/Riki Merrick for V2. Structured Docs.

Discussion over universal candidate designation. Has not been put into practice yet.

Could put together a draft of what we think the characteristics of the categories are to run past the management groups.

After this is published, there should be a governance step that standards must comply with this. That would be expressed in an SGB precept and approved by the TSC.

Tony volunteers to help finalize the document.

Ron will be discussing the status of this work with the international council this week.

Lorraine: Many specs come in to US Realm saying they're going to do the conceptual models and then build the content for the realm. Most of the time the conceptual stuff is universal. Would like to see projects separate or identify the conceptual pieces.

Discussion over recommendation B.2, Role of International Vendors, where HL7 vendor membership list is forwarded new work item proposals to assess their interest and solicit their participation.

Discussion over adding realm guidelines to quality checks performed by product management groups.

Section 4.3: Could pull material from Core Principles

Section 4.4: Aspects are likely to be family specific. Expand bullet points.

4.5.1: Ioana Singureanu, Alexander Henket, Diego Kaminker, Fernando Campos, Rik Smithies, Brian Postlethwaite may be good to talk to about this, as people using FHIR profiles outside of the US.

4.5.2: Workflow also varies at the implementation level - by realm, care deliverer, Vendor, etc.

5.6: This is around having an architecture perspective on separation of concerns.

MethodologyReview Project InsightThe only project we have in there is the RTSS. Updated dates.
