2. Review Project Proposals
   1. Project Proposals Home
      1. CDA Web IG Publishing - there was no formal infrastructure for prior efforts related to the CDA Web Publishing Tool, so we're establishing a project
         1. SDWG is interested in being a "co-sponsor" and not the "sponsor", as this is about "management" of the CDA family of standards, vs. "methodology" being used in specific standards
         2. SDWG recommends separating the issue of CDA IG web publishing and maintenance of the CDA base standard and supporting schemas
3. External Updates - ONC and others
   1. ONC Annual Meeting will be March 29-30
   2. New NPRM from CMS on Payer APIs Thomson Kuhn
      1. Follow up from their prior rule from CMS which spoke more generally around interoperability for Payers
      2. New rule is very specific including IGs (DaVinci)
      3. Feedback due January 4th
      4. Specified 7 different DaVinci IGs for APIs, as well as the CARIN IG, and US Core
      5. No mention of C-CDA explicitly
      6. No adoption of a consistent standards advancement process - implementers can adhere to any version when they are interested

         1. The narrative in the section.text needs to preserve the meaning of the information in the RTF payload
         2. There's no way for an XSL stylesheet to take an RTF payload and render it - there's some amount of good faith we need to rely on with "downconverting" from RTF to something you can put in the section.text
         3. For certification testing purposes, the Examples Task Force would expect that systems would simply be able to render the content included in the section.text.
         4. The group wordsmithed comments within the sample and posted the updated version.
         5. Gay Dolin will provide a new nursing note paragraph to Matt Szczepankiewicz to convert to RTF by end of day 12/17/2020 for delivery to Brett Marquard to put in this sample.  The revised sample will be reviewed and approved in the next SDWG meeting.
      2. Pregnancy with Week Gestation
         1. Debate on inclusion of the SNOMED translation codes for Gestation periods under the Value given SNOMED's limited set of terms for discrete gestation periods

7. 1. CDA Schema Topics (Lisa R. Nelson)
      1. Looking to finalize the updated CDA 2.1 schema for publication in github
      2. Currently only Sean McIlvenna has been making these updates, but while he's out, we don't have a backup to make changes
      3. Editors in github don't have to be co-chairs, but we need to authorize others to approve changes to the CDA Core 2.1 repository
      4. What should we do with the CDA 2.0 schema?  Do we need to cross-reference to CDA 2.1 schema?
         1. Decision - do not cross-reference.  We want to encourage people to generally us the CDA 2.0 schema as that's what most IGs are built upon, and is currently supported
      5. The commit comments in github can be confusing to people just looking to pull the latest schema.
         1. Decision - we should create a release package of the CDA 2.0 schema, and update the readme to tell people to get the release
