HL7 Antitrust Policy
Professional Associations, such as HL7, which bring together competing entities are subject to strict scrutiny under applicable antitrust laws. HL7 recognizes that the antitrust laws were enacted to promote fairness in competition and, as such, supports laws against monopoly and restraints of trade and their enforcement. Each individual participating in HL7 meetings and conferences, regardless of venue, is responsible for knowing the contents of and adhering to the HL7 Antitrust Policy as stated in §05.01 of the Governance and Operations Manual (GOM).

- RTPBC FHIR IG - Frank
- The RTPBC FHIR IG states that it intends to be compatible with the NCPDP Real Time Prescription Benefit (RTPB) standard--which is used in provider-to-payer exchanges--so that patients and their providers receive consistent information.
- With the aim of helping keep the two standards in sync, the NCPDP Consumer RTPB task group recently performed a review of new content added to the NCPDP provider RTPB standard. The group identified some data element and guidance additions made to the NCPDP standard that it would like to suggest be considered for the HL7 RTPBC FHIR IG.
- The NCPDP group is wondering what would be the best process for bringing these suggestions forward. For example, putting in tracker items and then reviewing in Pharmacy? Or bringing to CARIN first?
- Proposed adding issues to Jira and then review to determine how to do an update
