Meeting Minutes from Discussion

1Welcome, agenda review, meeting minute approval

No objection to approving last week's minutes

VRDR FHIR IG - Pre-publication Review - - 0 mins, notification only

AbdulMalik indicates this would be a discussion item for next week.  Provide any feedback directly to AbdulMalik.

Public Health Track at May FHIR Connectathon (John Loonsk) - 10 min

This is a regular check-in for the upcoming Connect-a-thon.  It will be a virtual event for May 13-15, 2020.  Cost is $100 for HL7 members.

PSS for Vital Records Birth and Fetal Death Reporting FHIR (Sarah Gaunt) - 10 min

Sarah walked through the PSS:

  • Is mapping to the VR DAM part of the scope?  Yes, but this may be a later exercise.
  • There are concerns that there is a similar IHE CDA IG and there may be some overlap and this poses a burden to vendors.

Motion to approve the PSS (Sarah Gaunt/AbdulMalik Shakir)

  • Approved (31-1-0)

Immunization IG Discussion (Alean Kirnak) - 25 min

Alean continued the discussion that began at the Sydney WGM:

  • Merge vs. Link.  Merge takes two records and results in one surviving record.  Non-surviving record may be archived.  A link keeps both records with a reference between the two.
  • Discussion to continue on a future call
 Adjourned at 17h00 (eastern)
