Antitrust Statement
Professional Associations, such as HL7, which bring together competing entities are subject to strict
scrutiny under applicable antitrust laws. HL7 recognizes that the antitrust laws were enacted to promote
fairness in competition and, as such, supports laws against monopoly and restraints of trade and their
enforcement. Each individual participating in HL7 meetings and conferences, regardless of venue, is
responsible for knowing the contents of and adhering to the HL7 Antitrust Policy as stated in §05.01 of
the Governance and Operations Manual (GOM).
NOTE: This attendance applies if you are present at the related meeting/call, regardless if you have signed a different attendance for your WG.

[FHIR-39175] Keep the Citation resource - Jira (hl7.org)
[FHIR-38816] KEEP Citation as a core FHIR Resource - Jira (hl7.org)
Brian: Citation is core to EBM. Without a FHIR Citation resource, we'd need something that's not FHIR to represent a citation. It's not an up or down vote on Citation resource; rather, it's about EBM resource as FHIR or perhaps create a new/alternate "sibling" data structure with it's own management processes. Does HL7 or FHIR want to take on the creation of a new specification (product family?) and subsequent committees, etc? This should be a conversions and decision with FMG, not just CDS. Does the CDS WG have a recommendation for the scientific evidence representation or evidence-based medicine representation in FHIR?
