Minutes

HL7 Antitrust Policy: Professional Associations, such as HL7, which bring together competing entities are subject to strict scrutiny under applicable antitrust laws. HL7 recognizes that the antitrust laws were enacted to promote fairness in competition and, as such, supports laws against monopoly and restraints of trade and their enforcement. Each individual participating in HL7 meetings and conferences, regardless of venue, is responsible for knowing the contents of and adhering to the HL7 Antitrust Policy as stated in §05.01 of the Governance and Operations Manual (GOM).

    • John asks if they looked at profiling as an alternative? Jamie says they have, and they'll continue to do that for other things. 
    • John asks if there is already a prototype of this in the continuous build? Group reviews https://build.fhir.org/branches/genomicStudyResource/genomicstudy.html
    • Josh: Output formats are centered around documents and document references as opposed to observations. Discussion that this is output of analysis and would be included in the report alongside observations.

    • Josh feels editors are spending too much time on these things, and more automation would make things easier for them.
    • Grahame: What information should JIRA keep, and who owns it? Discussion over whether it's FMG or TSC. 
    • The information has to get in JIRA somehow and managed somehow. Josh proposes that it be automated to avoid people being forced to do extra work because of an edge case.

    • Dealing with a lot of IGs and more and more over time. 
    • Grahame notes this issue is on the radar of the Board and the Implementation Division.
