Topics discussed at DEV DAYS:

Mark summarized topics discussed such as DaVinci PDex, Josh Mandel's presentation, TEFCA, Smart on FHIR V2, Carin Blue Button and EOBs.  Also, PDex EOBs, Burden Reduction, Realtime events/subscriptions and US CORE vs International.  Mark Roberts was also at DEV Days and explained FISH (FHIR Short) for How to make IGs better,  How to move from connectathons to pre-test discovery of IGs for use.  Epic dynamic registration, Argonaut, consumer apps integrating with endpoint registration, VCI initiative and UDAP.

NCVHS:

Stanley stated that it was old timers vs new timers in regard to one standard vs multiple standards.  How can new standards be introduced in a timely fashion.  Pilot organizations working together already, but Pilot tests are expensive.  More important is how to implement standards timely and better ways to revise or add additional versions.  Mike Denison stated that business challenges are towards resources, time and commitment to adopt a standard.

1. Interim co-chair position opening 

   Should you or one of the other co-chairs need to resign before your two-year commitment expires, notify HL7 Headquarters by email.  HQ will attempt to seek nominees and include the open co-chair position in the next regularly scheduled election.  Your WG may appoint an interim co-chair (GOM §11.03 Work Group Co-chairs) to serve until the next scheduled election.  The interim co-chair may be a nominee in the subsequent election.  HQ will then formally announce the open co-chair position as part of the normal process and elections will be held according to the schedule above.

   GOM §08.02.07 defines the criteria that must be met to be eligible to be nominated as a Work Group co-chair:

   • must be current individual members; individuals who represent a current Organizational member although not necessarily as a designated voting representative; or individuals who represent a current Affiliate member although not necessarily as a designated voting representative.
   • must have affirmation that they are an active member of the WG in question and have the capacity to fulfill the co-chair duties as required from at least one existing co-chair of the WG in question (not themselves) and at least one member of the WG in question (not themselves).

Peter Gunter may be interested in the co-chair position.

DaVinci PDex ballot reconciliation comments to re-address the mapping tables.  Mark asked for WG to look over the mapping to see how it can be refined.  Put on next agenda to review tickets. 

Carin Update - Rebecca Kissel is leaving Humana, so will not be involved with the Carin projects anymore.  Mark stated that the FM WG did not do the IG walk through 2 weeks ago and did not last week because of DEV days.  He is hoping to get with FM this week for the walk through.
