Implementer Support Questions

Anil N to Everyone

As a payer implementing the Pdex, the external facing Pdex API will be  FHIR resource (GET) endpoits or will be a custom API that sits in front of the an FHIR server?  Depends on how you choose to implement the FHIR stack. Utilizing Get Calls to resources defined in PDEX.

Jason Teeple: ATRex and security procedures: which to use? Pattern to support and path to choose? Finding from testing event in Oct. Need to combine authorization and workflow for a consistent implementation. Bob D.: compliant Payer 2 Payer must support mutual TLS in ATRex. If pure UDAP implementation b/w trading partners is OK but need to support the mutual TLS workflow to comply with PDEX. IG for National Directory is being built  federated access to a query in January Connectathon and ballot in May. CMS is aware of issues.

Insurance Plan and Product Discussion:

Is there a change in plan when there is a change in product? Jason Teeple will look into this. When looking at coverage: First determine payer, then type of coverage, then identify the plan. Plannet and Formulary are affected by this issue. Need to discuss with groups that use coverage resource, directory, and formulary.

No call day after Thanksgiving.

Chat:

See Anil's question above.
