CMS HL7 Virtual Connectathon - July 2022

Calling all Implementers!  Opportunity to demonstrate your investment in FHIR and show the success of interoperability! 

1. Cdex is Published in March. Note: the Ballot version and the published version are the same.  
2. Preparing for CMS HL7 July Connectathon. Please join us!!
   1. RI will be updated to reflect recent changes for you to test against
3. HL7 May Ballot cycle for CDex attachments and digital signatures draft content - Reconciliation Begins!
4. Targeting September ballot for additional draft content, support for attachments query
   1. NIB due July 3rd

Proposed disposition reviewed and agreed to, marked ready-for-vote.

FHIR-31890 - Need Eric to explain the ask. Skipped. 

FHIR-35151 - Getting issue details... STATUS - Proposed disposition updated. see JIRA ticket. 

URI is there, but could be a GUID, something else, no standard there. Could also be the same. 

There is a textual component not intended for computational use though. 

Does it need a value set?

We will need to separate Claims from Prior Auth, the question is How. 

We could give an identifier that could be for either, then. Payer is saying "I would like xy document for payerthingy 12345. The payerthingy could be a prior auth or a claim. 

If payer pends the claim, then requests more info from provider, they may not have this number yet...

  May discuss on PIE on Tuesday next week prior to this call.

Provider 275 - documentation response to the 277

Prior Auth:

Provider 278 request from provider to the payer for the Prior Auth.

Payer 278 response from payer to the 278 request and could include the request for additional documentation for the Prior Auth (among other functions)

Provider 275 - response to the 278 request for additional documentation.
