HRex Vassil's last question  FHIR-28892 - Getting issue details... STATUS

  • Change to Human Intervention.
  • Formal Authorization Required meant to be about.
  • Concern with the start of the diagram: http://hl7.org/fhir/us/davinci-hrex/2020Sep/exchanging.html#decision-points . One of the goals for exchanges is that the presence of the intermediary should be irrelevant to the requester.
    • Trying to figure out how to have pure restful and intermediaries isn't there yet (work in progress to support routing through REST) - then the messaging pathway may no longer be necessary.
    • scaling architecture is being landed now that has a solution document to allow for this.  (this calendar year, if not sooner - per Bob D.)

Will this be published as part of HRex?

  • current timeline is April/May for publication.
  • This guidance will be moving into the FHIR R5 core spec, which is targeted for Sept. Ballot.

Have the notion of data source and consumer, not notion of owner.

Data exchange push from app to server.  they are not the owner of the resource but have the info to exchange to the owner by push.

  • App is source
  • server is consumer.
  • no owner.

If the system that wants data (pull)

system that has the data (push) - whether the data is sitting with restful or not.

If you want the data, but I am the owner, and we have subscriptions, then it's a push.

With push, configured by consumer gives subscription and polling.

Restful for documents or transactions.  You cannot just do a pull for

Transaction with full URL on my server?

Need to continue this discussion offline or on a future call as Vassil needed to drop.

FHIR-30820  Unresolved When a task is complete what triggers the termination of a payer's ability to fetch data?
