If you are interested in engaging with the work Hl7 is undertaking to further clarify the relevant specifications, you can engage with the following committees/workgroups:
|Zulip Channel||Regular web conference link|
FHIR methodology and tooling
|FHIR-I||Manage the tooling / publishing infrastructure used to generate the specifiations||#ig creation|
|Modeling and Methodology||Responsible for the overall conformance framework||#methodology||https://zoom.us/j/96421614235|
|FHIR Management Group||Coordination between the above groups, and approves publications / adjudicates||n/a||https://zoom.us/j/865863526|
|Implementation Guide (Example)|
|US Realm Steering Committee||Overall control of US specifications, and working with ONC/US Government||#united states||https://zoom.us/j/707939383|
|Cross-Group Projects||Direct Control of the US Core Specification||n/a||https://zoom.us/j/91506058769|
Other workgroups developing and enhancing implementation guides will be addressing this topic as well where further clarity is needed. You can find the workgroup that owns the implementation guide of interest be going to the FHIR IG's home page through the implementation guide registry, scroll to the page footer and click on the workgroup listed. On the workgroup's web page you will find a leadership tab to contact a co-chair, as well as an additional resources tab where you can find the confluence page where the workgroup collaborates. To find the regular web conference call links you can go to http://www.hl7.org/concalls/Default.aspx?ref=nav, select the workgroup, select a meeting date (highlighted), and use the call details for the coordinates.
Note that some final editing on the above is still in progress. This page will be moved to an HL7 web page to be locked in once finalized. The attached two letters below would be posted on the FHIR and US Core product brief pages as well.
