    2. David Riddle Question about RelatedSubject in C-CDA. In CDAR2_IG_CCDA_CLINNOTES_R1_DSTU2.1_2015AUG_Vol2_2019JUNwith_errata.pdf, the Fetus Subject Context Template and the Family History Organizer Template introduce the RelatedSubject. 

      1. In CDA 4.3.3.3, subject is defined and it states: "The subject participant represents the primary target of the entries recorded in the document. Most of the time the subject is the same as the recordTarget (see recordTarget (§ 4.2.2.11 )), but need not be, for instance when the subject is a fetus observed in an obstetrical ultrasound."

      2. "The subject participant can be ascribed to a CDA section or a CDA entry. It propagates to nested components, unless overridden. The subject of a document is presumed to be the patient."
      3. "A subject is a person playing one of several possible roles (RelatedSubject class). The entity playing the role is a person (SubjectPerson class)."
      4. Is it possible to override the subject of an entry anywhere in the document? Is this something that the receiver needs to look for?

    1. HAI Companion Guide - COVID module Sarah Gaunt
      1. Wants to add two questions to the form, results in one new template in the CDA IG. The templates that are in the companion guide are going to ballot in January. One new template answers both new questions on the form.
      2. Companion guide is specific to the COVID uses-case.
      3. Will provide a link to this companion guide document (published by NHSN) once it's on NHSN's website. Can't upload to HL7's website(s) because it is not an HL7 artifact.
    2. David Riddle Question about RelatedSubject in C-CDA. In CDAR2_IG_CCDA_CLINNOTES_R1_DSTU2.1_2015AUG_Vol2_2019JUNwith_errata.pdf, the Fetus Subject Context Template and the Family History Organizer Template introduce the RelatedSubject. 
      1. Wants to confirm with SDWG that he is treating subject/relatedSubject correctly. Explained how subject/relatedSubject is used in his use-case. Trying to refine logic for making sure the related person is not the same as the subject.
      2. Calvin: re-state subject at lower-level (entries).
      3. Austin: can't do much more than match patients on things that aren't very reliable, such as telecom, address, etc.
      4. No decisions made at this time. Will continue this discussion with other groups, as well.
    3. WGM Agenda
      1. 2020 September SDWG WGM Agenda
        1. Reviewed agenda.
        2. Announcement sent out about Plenary. Starting at 10a ET on Monday. Plenary continuing Wednesday at 4p ET.
        3. Planning to request Monday 2-4 slot for joint FHIR-I, about CCDA-on-FHIR.
  6. STU Comments
    1. Comment 1986: Classic problem of how to handle missing data that the template requires. The template would require a redesign to handle the missing data issue.
    2. Comment 1996: The provenance template has the language/text in the description enabling something that the template does not support in constraints and schematron.
      1. Didi is concerned about the guidance of this template changing. Will be monitoring this issue closely.
      2. Going to schedule more time to discuss this where Brett Marquard can be involved, since this is related to Provenance.
    3. Comment 1998: 5 primitive constraints have schematron with "not(.)" that should be evaluated to determine if a schematron expression can be created for them, or if they should not be tested (using "not(tested)").
