•  An NPRM was released and touches on a number of topics including information blocking, the use of FHIR APIs

• Included in the NPRM is a request for information regarding possible future data exchange use cases with registries
  • ONC’s proposed rule includes a Request for Information (RFI) on how a standards-based API might support improved information exchange between a health care provider and a registry in support of public health reporting, quality reporting, and care quality improvement.
  • Public input on this RFI may be considered for future HHS rulemaking to support the bidirectional exchange of clinical data between health care providers and registries for a wide range of use cases.
• HL7 is likely to submit comments through the PAC (no announcement has been made yet), so please collect any possible responses for inclusion in the HL7 response

• A block vote was sent out last week with 34 comments
  • These are STU comments
• No request to pull any comments for additional discussion
• Motion to approve the dispositions as circulated for the 34 comments (Sarah/Craig) 7-0-1

• Wendy asked for a 12 month extension for the cancer reporting IG
  • The IG would benefit from addition EHR vendor feedback

• This is a SOA project to help transform between HL7 standards (including v2, CDA, FHIR, etc)
• This will go to ballot in May 2019 (for comments)
  
  • Documents are available on the SOA confluence site (Project Documents)
  • Includes C-CDA to FHIR (US Core) mapping
    • Includes 18 of the 22 US Core elements (R4 where possible)
  • PH members should review documents in advance of the ballot if they like
    • Comments can be sent to Matt or entered on the Confluence comments page (Repository for Spreadsheets with review comments)
• A parallel project lives in O&O for a v2 to FHIR mapping
