In Q3 2022, a number of OID conflicts were identified, both within FHIR core and THO. Their resolutions are documented below.
As of 2/3/22, the issues in FHIR core have been resolved but the issues in THO remain.
FHIR Core Resolution
In FHIR core, OIDs were found to have been inconsistent between R4, R4B, and R5. These were fixed by Grahame in December 2022 per request of FMG and the TSMG.

THO Resolution
The duplicate OIDs in THO still need to be resolved.
The following OID duplicates are a result of conflicts between V3/external, V2/external, V2/V3, and V2/V2 resources. In most cases, there is a retired OID and URL that is the same as the "current" one in THO metadata record. HL7 was maintaining and publishing content for their use. As HL7 moved to not republishing external content, some errors occurred. The expected resolution for many of these conflicts was discussed at the January 2023 WGM.
Vocab will request an update to the IG Publisher behavior when when there are duplicate OID or URL values and one is retired, and one is active. It should change these conflicts to warning which the curators can suppress.
The following OID duplicates were imported from FHIR and need a resolution to be specified in order to be fixed.
TSMG needs to decide how these should be resolved. If new OIDs need to be generated, the OID generator put set up for UTG/THO may be an option, see OID Generation.
