Note that the SoPT has been named by ONC as the applicable Vocabulary Standard for the Coverage Type data element https://www.healthit.gov/isa/taxonomy/term/2351/draft-uscdi-v3 included in the US Core Data for Interoperability (USCDI) Draft Version 3:
Draft V3 is open for public comment via the ONC's ONDEC system https://www.healthit.gov/isa/ONDEC until April 30, 2022, and ONC plans to release the final USCDI v3 in July 2022. We are also reviewing this in our ONC Interoperability Standards Workgroup https://www.healthit.gov/hitac/committees/interoperability-standards-workgroup and would welcome input from those involved in maintaining this standard.
