Professional Associations that bring together competing entities, such as HL7, are subject to strict scrutiny under applicable antitrust laws. HL7 recognizes that the antitrust laws were enacted to promote fairness in competition and, as such, supports laws against monopoly and restraints of trade and their enforcement. Each individual participating in HL7 activities, regardless of venue, is responsible for knowing the contents of and adhering to the HL7 Antitrust policy as stated in §05.01 of the Governance and Operations Manual (GOM).

20 minUSPHPL - comment discussionSarah

1 issue

USCDI Version 3 includes a Medication data element but Medication Administration is a Level 2 element

After discussion, the intent of the US Core profile is different than the USPHPL profile.

More detail on US Core intent: http://build.fhir.org/ig/HL7/US-Core/medication-list.html

Motion to approve as Persuasive (Sarah Gaunt/Austin Kreisler 26-0-1)

10 minUS Core versions in relation to references in ODH versionsGenny/Lori

Lori is working to update ODH to refer to US Core (Version 5) Patient

But what about other IGs that adopt the ODH profiles if those IGs don't refer to the same version of the Patient profile? For example, death reporting

Will there be an issue with backwards compatibility?

Each IG may need to do an analysis to see if there is a conflict.

Need to take this to FMG for some advice

Genny discussed this briefly with Grahame at WGM

Genny will reach out to Grahame to ask how we get FMG to weigh in on what we need to do

5 minRequest for WG Sponsorship for Flu-Surv NET on FHIRBecky

New project proposal (PSS-2121)

CDC sponsored

Influenza Hospitalization Surveillance Network

3 possible use cases including one for Surveillance/Situational Awareness purposes - Minimum data set (test/result and some additional location and outcome data)

Will create a MedMorph content FHIR IG and pilot it

Looking at the May 2023 ballot cycle (timelines may not allow this without a hit on the WG health)

Motion that Public Health will sponsor this project (Becky Angeles/Craig Newman 24-0-0)
