Central Cancer Registries Reporting Content IG Ballot Recon Approval
Discovered another use case in the VRDR and can be easily supported without changes to the guide. This would be for a Mortality Roster which would be a short report and would come out of the existing profiles. Would like to add 1 bundle definition called a Mortality Roster bundle to support a new use case that some jurisdictions want to use.
The mechanism for shipping this around hasn’t been determined but is outside the scope of this IG (NCHS supports a separate IG for the transport).
Would define a message that would allow for the inclusion of multiple mortality bundle where each bundle would be per patient. Separating out the workflow from the data.
Is this IG in regulation? No, just documenting how to do it if the trading partners had a need to do it. Expected to be seen in exchange between jurisdictions.
What’s the next publication expected is STU 2. Currently at the end of ballot reconciliation now.
Motion- Saul moves to approve the disposition of FHIR ticket 37677 as persuasive to add the bundle definition for a Mortality Roster

Working with ODH team on reconciliation of related items.
Correct Usual Work profile and add vocabulary needed by vital records.
For FHIR 37709- The resolution description should be updated for both usual and past or present. The description reads “if either is missing, then....” but should read “if both are missing, then....” explain using dataAbsentReason. This has been corrected.
