Professional Associations that bring together competing entities, such as HL7, are subject to strict scrutiny under applicable antitrust laws. HL7 recognizes that the antitrust laws were enacted to promote fairness in competition and, as such, supports laws against monopoly and restraints of trade and their enforcement. Each individual participating in HL7 activities, regardless of venue, is responsible for knowing the contents of and adhering to the HL7 Antitrust policy as stated in §05.01 of the Governance and Operations Manual (GOM).

Genny requested to discuss FHIR-37237

  • A value set was missing on a narrative page that listed the value sets
  • The value set will no longer be used (changed to better align with the VRDR FHIR IG)
  • Genny wants to do some homework on this
  • FHIR-37237 was pulled from the block

Craig asked a question about FHIR-36811 and FHIR-36810

  • Two fields have a maximum length set
  • This raises issues about what would happen if the sending system has content that exceeds the max length?
  • NCHS is the system with the length limit
  • FHIR-36811 and FHIR-36810 were pulled from the block

Motion to approve the block vote (Diana Wright/Sarah Gaunt 24-0-1)
