We will approve the WGM meetings next week

MethodologyMedMorph FHIR IG (Brett Marquard)

Making EHR Data More Available for Research and Public Health (MedMorph) Reference Architecture

  • MedMorph is creating a US Realm FHIR IG proposal (the PSS has already been approved, but FHIR IGs need a separate proposal)
    • Must be FHIR approved before the NIB
  • The Project Team is working with CDC to put together the content for the IG for ballot in January 2021
  • This IG will cover the reference architecture and 3 initial use cases (HepC reporting, cancer reporting and healthcare surveys)
    • Use case specific IGs will define the content of the payload moved by the reference architecture
  • The Short and Long Descriptions in the proposal outline the scope and goals of the project
  • There are some Digital Bridge folks on the MedMorph expert panel (TEP) and MedMorph is coordinating with them
  • Motion to approve the IG proposal (Brett Marquard/Keith Boone 34-0-0)
MethodologySANER overview (Keith Boone)

http://build.fhir.org/ig/HL7/fhir-saner/index.html

  • SANER is a FHIR IG project for Situational Awareness for Novel Epidemic Response
  • See the current build IG and WGM notes for a description of the project
  • This is an internationally scoped project
  • Initial scope was about bed and ventilator availability
  • The EHR (and other clinical systems) isn't the only system that holds data of interest, it could be a staffing solution or an inventory application
  • Largely based on Measure and MeasureReport resources
    • Aggregate counts (but some level of PHI might be inferred in some situations)
  • It specifically does not overlap with eCR reporting or other IGs
  • The IG allows push and pull of data and allows for a variety of different architectures and actors
  • It also includes support for translations to .csv format and aggregation of data
  • This IG will be part of the Early January 2021 ballot cycle which will open on Oct 20 (ballot pool sign up is now open)
  • Keith will be back at next week's call (Oct 8) for ballot content approval
MethodologyVR DAM Publication Request Review (AMS)

HL7_DAM_VR_R4_D1_2020MAY_ballot_comments.xls

Vital Records Domain Analysis Model R4 - Post Ballot.docx

  • Next week, AMS will be seeking approval for publication of the vital records DAM
  • Please review the ballot comment spreadsheet and final document to be prepared for approval
    • The Word doc does have Track Changes on if you want to see what changed
  • If you voted negative, please withdraw your negative through the HL7 balloting site
