MethodologyProject Expectations and Updates (Co-Chairs)

We want to make sure that all HL7 sponsored projects are accessible to the WG. We want to return to a previous approach of getting regular project team updates.

  1. Updating the WG
  2. Reviewing block votes
  3. Using Confluence and the Conference Call Center

MethodologySept WGM - call for topics (Co-Chairs)
  1. Who is planning to register and participate
    1. CDC folks plan to attend
  2. We will reach out to the listserv to see if there are international folks interested in attending
  3. Possible COVID related sessions
  4. Updates from the Immunization community
  5. BDR DAM ballot recon
  6. Regular WG call (mission and charter, project review, etc)
  7. Joint calls with other WGs
    1. FHIR-I
      1. Need to reach out to Ewout and set up a time
    2. Pharmacy
      1. Pharmacy reviewed their agenda and didn't have any topics for joint discussion
  8. Process change sessions
    1. Jira
    2. Zulip
    3. Project proposals

The 24 hour day will be divided into 2 hour blocks that WGs can use (like regular WGM quarters)

It's recommended that only 90 minutes of the 2 hour block would be used to give people a chance to catch up on email, get a food/drink, etc

We've reached out on the listserv to see if there are international folks that want to be more involved (but can't because of timing issues), we will reach out again to see if there are international attendees that want to participate in WGM.

Please give some thought to topics that you'd like to discuss at the Sept WGM meeting

The WG needs to identify the timeblocks we want to use by Aug 7th

MethodologyExternal Vocab reminder

The HTA is disseminating that some of the LOINC licensing text is being updated:

The HL7 Terminology Authority (HTA) is notifying all co-chairs of HL7 WG that LOINC has, this June, updated its license agreement for use of the LOINC - Logical Observation Identifiers, Names and Codes - terminology.  Specific wording must be used in any product or service utilizing LOINC; this wording is provided for you in the "Arrangement or agreements with HL7 for use of content" on the LOINC - Logical Observation Identifiers, Names and Codes page of the HTA External Terminologies pages.

Since many of our HL7 products reference the use of LOINC, this is of relevance to most of you; please communicate it within your WG and especially to all how are working on materials for ballot and/or publication.

The HTA is also taking this opportunity to update you about recent new content additions to the External Terminologies - Information pages on Confluence.  These include the Dartmouth Atlas of Health Care, ICD-10-PCSInternational Standard Classification of Occupations 2008 (ISCO-08)
