ANSI Anti-Trust Policy:  Professional Associations, such as HL7, which bring together competing entities are subject to strict scrutiny under applicable antitrust laws. HL7 recognizes that the antitrust laws were enacted to promote fairness in competition and, as such, supports laws against monopoly and restraints of trade and their enforcement. Each individual participating in HL7 meetings and conferences, regardless of venue, is responsible for knowing the contents of and adhering to the HL7 Antitrust Policy as stated in §05.01 of the Governance and Operations Manual (GOM).

        • This issue has been applied since ballot comment
        • Motion to find persuasive, pre-applied for R5, the resource exists now – Marti Velezis, Riki Merrick, no further discussion, against: 0, abstain: 0, in favor: 10
    • FHIR-33401 - How to store the nutrients of a nutrition administration?
      • Similar to the request for BDP - this issue is on Procedure.  This was sent to us by Patient Care b/c it is a Nutrition element.
      • How do you document nutrition facts during procedure? This ticket was created before we had nutrition specific resources– need to review procedure and see, if all resources we would need for that as available for linking
      • What use cases do we have?
        • Bottle feeding, enteral feeding – would you really use procedure for this, or wouldn’t NutritionIntake cover this by itself
        • partOf with reference to nutritionIntake?
        • Or should we just tell PC to use NutritionIntake for those use cases where the main focus of the procedure is nutrition:

      • Made comment to use NutritionIntake where that is the main focus of the procedure – add that to the boundaries section

    • V2 table has no suggested values, but in FHIR we have value set – drawn from NCBI Thesaurus, but that is US-centric for the base
    • If we can add recommendations to a few code systems based on the region of us to a concept domain
    • Can we just have example binding for the same value set used in FHR: http://build.fhir.org/valueset-device-safety.html
    • EUDAMED handles some concepts differently (they are using these as safety, but in other places the same concepts are warnings)
    • Needs to be dealt with before v2.9.1 is published, but can be after Feb 29th
    • Move to HCP call
    • Should we update the FHIR example value set to include NCI Thesaurus and EUDAMED and then point to it? – it seems to also need to get added to THO (currently only in the FHIR build)
