Today2021 CMS HL7® FHIR® Connectathon

New Tickets created from last discussion:

  • FHIR-32723: Value set tables not displaying definitions correctly
    • This has been repaired in the IG in a separate branch, ready to integrate upon approval
  • FHIR-32724: Add Formulary ID field to CoveragePlan and MedicationKnowledge to indicate what formulary they belong to

Updates on the following tickets:

  • FHIR-32625 Share new menu format updates for easier navigation
  • FHIR-32618 mustSupport elements aren't complete
  • FHIR-32627 - search parameter codes should be lower-case We don't want to break the search now (some servers are caase sensitive), but will likely support lowercase in a future version (STU2) of the IG. Adding note to Implementers: may want to support lowercase now.
  • FHIR-32622
    • Heads up of a coming change 6-12months away: Looking at changing use of List resource to InsurancePlan for future version of IG (STU2)
    • List Resource still there, nothing changing now, just some things being considered for future release that we want people to be aware of.
    • Options: Should people add extension (in R4) from Coverage to link to InsurancePlan?  In r5, there is a standard extension convention. This may help make the connection from coverage resource to the actual drugplan.
    • InsurancePlan was added later.

Also reviewed FHIR-31591, No comments with proposed approach.

Review FAQ Proposed Responses

Reviewed 0011 - Discussion about focus on frame of question with current rule vs. proposed rule.

Reviewed 0013 -  Discussion on "accessible by..." and the use of provenance not really intended for an audit log and risk of data leakage. As data flows through the system from payer to payer.  Could we just say the answer is #2 in this question?  If so, then Caller doesn't see the need for the restriction on the queries in the response.

  • Discussion on Provenance - come back with questions after reading the IG.

Reviewed 0015. Finalized. no comments

Reviewed 016 Finalized. no comments

Reviewed 017 Finalized.  FHIR-32178 - Getting issue details... STATUS  is on the co-pay, need to add the co-insurance ticket as well.  Dave will add it.
