HL7 FHIR Connectathon - Sept 9-11 (Virtual)

September Ballot Deadlines

Gaps in Care/Member Attribution Track
  • Connectathon proposal- include Member Attribution to Gaps in Care track
  • Confluence Page- now has the Member Attribution details on the scenario but needs the following preparation:
    • Action considers Gaps in Care client to call from specific group in Gaps in Care Server (will have preset number of patients)
    • Server will return reports for Gaps in Care for Colorectal Cancer Screening
    • Will need pre-configured groups that includes provider NPI and TIN
    • Start with patient data which Dragon will organize into groups
    • Dragon will post the patients, group ID and provide them to Rob, who will post then post it on the Gaps in Care server
      • Result- ATR server should have same group as Gaps in Care Operation server
      • Group ID- can be used in Postman as parameter, calls into the care gaps
    • Dragon will have a CI build in the next couple days- will sent it Yan to post link
    • Dragon will list and link API and examples

Publishing update

Eric mentions only a couple of QA issues which changes week by week.

  • Errors is in Publisher and not the source itself
  • Looking to fix the issue in Publisher
  • May need to swap branches due to dependency for balloting

Care Gap operation

Discussion on practitioner and organization as parameters

  • How patient should be returned if we have practitioner and organization, where to get it from the records?
  • Is encounter required in a measure?
  • Patient is a QI core, should we use managing organization first?
    • check to see if managing organization is widely use first, as it is not a MUST support
    • general practitioner is more widely use for patients and more dependable
  • There are three ways to query for Gaps in Care- subject, organization and organization/practitioner
  • Is there a Use Case where you query organization/practitioner that is outside the attribution for gaps in care?
  • Yan suggest to add  Note to Balloters- "If you use organization/practitioner then do you assume it is attributed?
    • will ask at CQI meeting if it is reasonable to add this question
  • Suggestion to state in the RI- this is an example only
    • general practitioner is a generic term- should follow the definition in FHIR
