The CQI Quality Sub-group suggested this is a valuable product and that it needs visibility beyond the membership of CQI. There is significant interest in the topic and it fits well into the general FHIR strategy for HL7 as an organization (i.e., not just CQI). FHIR-Based Quality Reporting White Paper.
