HL7 Antitrust Policy

Professional Associations, such as HL7, which bring together competing entities are subject to strict scrutiny under applicable antitrust laws. HL7 recognizes that the antitrust laws were enacted to promote fairness in competition and, as such, supports laws against monopoly and restraints of trade and their enforcement. Each individual participating in HL7 meetings and conferences, regardless of venue, is responsible for knowing the contents of and adhering to the HL7 Antitrust Policy as stated in §05.01 of the Governance and Operations Manual (GOM)

Review of open project proposals:

PSS-2155 - Getting issue details... STATUS

comment left:  CIC has reviewed and is interested in the project from the clinician/clinical perspective.  There are questions in our group of perhaps a need for two different resources and not just profiles of the current resource to fully meet the needs of research and clinical care.  We are willing to be co-sponsors or at the very least an interested party.

PSS-2153 - Getting issue details... STATUS

comment:  CIC finds this project intriguing, but would like to know more by what is meant by "a patient-centric view of FHIR".   More information on the scope and work intended to be done would be helpful.

PSS-2149 - Getting issue details... STATUS

CIC has reviewed.  The project looks laudable, but beyond the scope or bandwidth of CIC at this time.  We will watch the project as it evolves with interest.
