Vulcan: Vulcan - RWD for Regulator Submissions IG
Reaffirmation of HL7 Version 3 Implementation Guide for CDA Release 2 - Level 3: Emergency Medical Services; Patient Care Report, Release 2 - US Realm http://www.hl7.org/special/committees/tsc/ballotmanagement/DisplayNIB.cfm?ballot_document_sdo_id=1136
Today's Update: CIC agreed to co-sponsor PSS-1725 . Russell Leftwich reminded us to set our level of involvement when the PSS is distributed.
EMS Patient Care Report - expiration date imminent. Placing reaffirmation on May Ballot. This is a lesson for us to monitor and reaffirm ANSI specification
Our request for the Vulcan project to have CIC as a sponsor was rejected. No enthusiasm to challenge it from CIC. Will ask for the highest level of involvement from any project CIC co-sponsors. When we co-sponsor we want to be engaged as possible.
CIC previously voted to withdraw this CDA IG. Jay has indicated the team wants to keep working on it. Discussion ongoing at this point. The withdraw request might become a publication request.... Will need to go through a reaffirmation ballot (with errata). Motion made by Laura to allow Jay to work with NEMSIS to work through a reaffirmation ballot through this calendar year and if unable to get it done re-evaluate the status. 2nd - by JMcClay. Abstain = 1, Oppose = 0, Approve = 6. Lindsey will reach out to Jay and report back to us.
Creation of Project Proposal
(Keith W. Boone @ Jimmy Tcheng)
Chesapeake Regional Information System for our Patients, Inc. (CRISP) – Development and Testing Data Sharing Functionality for Health System Participating in the National Cardiovascular Disease Registries of the American College of Cardiology
Today's Update: CIC as Sponsor needs to create a Project Proposal.
Lindsey Hoggle informed us there is a link this on the sponsored projects area of the CIC Confluence site. We reviewed and discussed the new project proposal form on the Projects Proposal Space on Confluence. Completed forms are provided for comment for 2 weeks. This then becomes PSS which is circulated for voting.
Noted project proposal form does not contain facilitators.
Keith W. Boone will coordinate drafting the PSS with Jimmy Tchenge. The links on left are funding the effort. The project will be general and not disease specific. Avoid an IG focused on a specific disease registry. Develop a standard for creating a registry specification.
DSTU due in 1.5 years.
